Individual Arrival in Schönau by Lake Königssee

(ca. 18 km)
The trail starts in the magical forest and leads you to the romantic Hintersee. The trail leads leisurely into the National Park, where you are surrounded by steeply rising rock faces to the left and right. Past the border beam you hike into the Salzburg countryside, along the rushing waterfalls of the Seisenbergklamm gorge you reach your destination Weißbach.

Short transfer in the direction of Maria Alm. From there you start your ascent to the Pinzgauer Grasberge. An excellent high-altitude hike awaits you: the peaks are surrounded by alpine pastures and the view of the nearby Hohe Tauern is overwhelming.

(ca. 15 km)
One of the most beautiful alpine pasture hikes in the Alps is coming up, you will hike along the Hochkönig to the well-known Arthurhaus. Chamois, cows, horses and numerous huts with beautiful views are along the way - a landscape as romantic as in a home movie. If possible, you will spend the night in the Arthurhaus directly at the Mandlwänden.


Enjoy your free day with a short hike to the surrounding huts and alpine pastures and taste the locally produced alpine cheese. Listen to the cow bells and watch the marmots and chamois. Or why not climb a small panoramic peak You can also take the hiking bus down into the valley to Mühlbach or Bischofshofen. A day for you to relax!

(ca. 13 km)
In the morning, you will travel through the dreamlike alpine landscape of the Hochkönig region, where you can once again take a good look at the mighty mountain massifs. Along the former miners trail, your path leads down into the Salzach valley and on to Werfen. There, a visit to the mighty Hohenwerfen Castle is worthwhile. Continue by train to Golling.

There is one more highlight at the end of the hiking week: a long climb up to the Torrener Joch border crossing and on to the Jenner summit. Transfer to the romantic Bluntau valley, at the end of which is a wall of rocks. Piece by piece you hike up through the mountain forest to a unique alpine landscape with rugged rock formations. From the Jenner summit you have your entire weeks tour and the Königssee lake in front of you. Down into the valley by cable car.
