Bavaria just like on a picture postcard: majestic mountain tops, deep blue sparkling lakes, idyllic alpine pastures with grazing cattle – and lots more! Discover Bavaria’s most beautiful clichés during a week-long walking tour between lake Tegernsee and Bayrischzell. Walk casually on marvellous panorama-paths through picturesque mountain scenery, have breaks along the way in little mountain inns and enjoy a typical snack (‚Brotzeit’) and a cool big glass of blond beer. The lakes Tegernsee and Schliersee invite you to a swim, a dip into the refeshing waters of mountain lakes is always welcome on a hot summer’s day. There is nothing better than that.

| Individuall Arrival to Bad Tölz The best way to explore this well-known Bavarian small town is on a leisurely stroll. Take a walk along the Isar River with a view of the Calvary, past the Kurhaus and into Marktstraße. The richly decorated town houses are best admired in one of the many street cafés. |
02. DAY

| From Bad Tölz to Bad Wiessee After a short train ride to Lenggries, you hike on the Via Alpina long-distance hiking trail over the Hirschtalsattel. The route takes you under the rocky peaks of the Fockenstein past to the Aueralm. Enjoy an extensive rest with Bavarian alpine specialities before descending to Bad Wiessee with a beautiful far-reaching view of Lake Tegernsee. |

| Round Tour to Mount Riederstein You walk along high-altitude paths with amazing views, to the mountain inn Galaun, then onwards to the little mountain chapel on the rock formation of Mount Riederstein, from where you have a magnificent view down to the lake and onto the surrounding mountains. Once back on the lake the Tegernsee brewery inn invites to a cool beverage, before you return with the Tegernsee-ship to Bad Wiessee. |

| Bad Wiesee - Lake Schliersee From Tegernsee you soon reach alpine pastures via a steep forest trail surrounding the well-known Alpine beer garden Neureuth. After a break with lovely views onto the lake you casually continue your tour to the Gindelalm alp and then you descend along forest paths and forest roads to Lake Schliersees and after the marina you reach the pretty and neat spa park situated directly at the lakeside of Lake Schliersee. |
05. DAY

| Round Tour to Lake Spitzingsee Along the lakeside-adventure-path you get to Fischhausen. Then along the path ‚Bockerlbahnweg’ with numerous info points via the former forest railway, you first walk to the col ‚Spitzingsattel’ and then onwards to the picturesque Lake Spitzingsee. Walk round this nature idyll before you take a break in the historic challet ‚Wurzhütte’ and then return by bus to Schliersee. |
06. DAY

| Lake Schliersee - Bayrischzell With the nostalgic Taubenstein cable car you float up to 1600 metres today and hike from the mountain station via the Rotwandhaus to the Soinsee. Past the Ruchenköpfe, with a little luck you may spot some climbers in the steep rock faces. The journey continues along comfortable hiking trails to Geitau, from where the public bus takes you to Bayrischzell, your stage destination today. |
07. DAY

| Round Trip onto Mount Wendelstein The King-Maximilian-path leads you past a waterfall to the Wendelstein-Alp. From there you walk all the way to the summit with its impressive meteorological observatory and along the panorama-loop-path to the Wendelstein cave with its accessible underground tunnels. After a snack in the panorama-beer garden, you take the cable car back into the valley and casually walk back to Bayrischzell. |

Other notes
To ensure a stress-free start to the trip, we recommend arriving at the starting point by early evening in most cases. Some tours start as early as midday, in which case we recommend arriving the day before and will be happy to book an extra night for you at the same time. The individual return journey takes place on the last day of the tour. The distances are approximate and may differ from the actual distances covered. This tour is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
Minimum number of participants
If a minimum number of participants is required for the tour to take place, this is stated under "Prices and services". If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the trip up to four weeks before the "arrival date". We recommend organizing the arrival and departure only after this deadline has passed.
7-day carefree number
No matter how well planned a trip is, in rare cases unexpected things happen. At such times, it is nice to have someone you can rely on locally. For this reason, you have a local contact person on our individual activity trips who will be happy to provide you with information and, as stated in the travel documents, can be contacted in an emergency.
