| Hopfgarten - Brixen im Thale This stage of the KAT Walk Compact is a spectacular hike from the first step on. A journey on the gondola lift takes you straight to the Alpine pastureland underneath the Hohe Salve. A straightforward climb follows to the Hohe Salve, a mountain with some of the best views in Tirol. Right at the summit you will find Austrias highest pilgrimage church. The route down via the Salvensee and Filzalmsee lakes takes you on picturesque tracks. In Hochbrixen you can complete the descent by taking a gondola lift – or walk further on one track all the way down to Brixen im Thale with its imposing churc... weiterlesenh with two steeples. |

| Brixen im Thale - Kirchberg in Tirol The ascent to the Brixenbachalm Alpine inn along an artistically designed Way of the Cross is the first highlight of the day. Through open forest and Alpine pasturelandyou reach the picturesque Wiegalm Alpine pasture embedded in an anticline. From here it is just a short ascent to the elongated crest of Gaisberg. Due to the geological structure of the highest part of Gaisberg, the landscape and vegetation is different here. Chalk dominates with karst formations and mountain pine growth. | Kirchberg - Kitzbühel The third stage of the KAT Walk takes you in the tracks of the legendary Hahnenkamm ski race. You can sense the ski World Cup atmosphere- along the Streif ski run, display boards point out well-known sections of the track like the Hausbergkante or Mausefalle (descents also can be made by cable car). The day finishes in the centre of the most legendary sporting town in the Alps: Kitzbühel! |

| Kitzbühel - St. Johann in Tirol A demanding stage that leads via the famous Kitzbüheler Horn to St. Johann in Tirol. You can take several cable cars some of the way though. Views in all directions, a well-kept Alpine flower garden and several places to stop off and eat make this stage a special experience! Spectacular route on descent of the Kitzbüheler Horn to Harschbichl. |

| St. Johann - St. Ulrich am Pillersee Diverse hike on a quiet plateau with different karst formations and dry Alpine pastures. Areas covered by mountain pines, various mixed forests and continual views in all directions round off this mountain experience. The route leads over climbs, meadow paths and roads. It is classed as medium difficulty. |

Other notes
To ensure a stress-free start to the trip, we recommend arriving at the starting point by early evening in most cases. Some tours start as early as midday, in which case we recommend arriving the day before and will be happy to book an extra night for you at the same time. The individual return journey takes place on the last day of the tour. The distances are approximate and may differ from the actual distances covered. This tour is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
Nature of the trail
Asphalt road, forest paths, mountain trail (moderately difficult - marked red), hiking trails or alpine hiking trails.
Arrival
BY CAR: Take the A12 highway to the Wörgl Ost exit and continue on the B170 into Brixental Valley to Hopfgarten. TRAIN: many direct connections to Brixental Valley, get off at the Berglift station in Hopfgarten. Timetables: www.vvt.at
Parking
Free parking lot Wasserfeld in Hopfgarten or paid garage at the cable car Hopfgarten.
Minimum number of participants
If a minimum number of participants is required for the tour to take place, this is stated under "Prices and services". If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the trip up to four weeks before the "arrival date". We recommend organizing the arrival and departure only after this deadline has passed.
7-day carefree number
No matter how well planned a trip is, in rare cases unexpected things happen. At such times, it is nice to have someone you can rely on locally. For this reason, you have a local contact person on our individual activity trips who will be happy to provide you with information and, as stated in the travel documents, can be contacted in an emergency.
