Munich - Lake Ammersee/Herrsching
Your first stage starts in the heart of Munich and runs southwest of the state capital. The Ammersee Cycle Path leads you from here first via Germering and Gilching to Weßling, until you finally reach Inning am Ammersee, the third largest lake in Bavaria. The municipality of Inning is a popular holiday resort in the Starnberger Fünf-Seen-Land and therefore ideal for a short stopover. Continue along the picturesque eastern shore of the lake via Buch and Breitbrunn to todays stage destination Herrsching. Herrsching - Lake Starnberg - Murnau
From Herrsching, the route now continues to the magnificent Lake Starnberg. The first port of call is Tutzing, on the western shore of Lake Starnberg. A special highlight here is the museum ship Tutzing, which houses a cabaret stage and a bistro. Further south, along the lakeshore, is the romantic village of Seeshaupt on the shores of the lake. The following section of the route stretches along the idyllic Osterseen lakes, past the Riegsee lake until you finally reach Murnau am Staffelsee. From Murnau via the picturesque Kochelsee and the Loissach, today you will travel along the dreamlike scenery of the Alpine chain to Bad Tölz. Bad Tölz - Achenpass - Tergensee
From Bad Tölz, we travel along the Isar River via Lenggries to the Sylvenstein Reservoir. The azure reservoir, surrounded by mountains and forests, comes pretty close to the wild beauty of Canada without exaggerating. A short break here is therefore highly recommended. Strengthened, you continue towards the Achen Pass. Once there, you follow the route always downhill to Kreuth and thus reach the Tegernsee, another gem of Upper Bavaria.

Tegernsee - München
From Tegernsee you cycle via Gmund on a section of the Via Bavarica Tyrolensis long-distance cycle path to Munich. If you prefer something more sporty, there is also the possibility to take the more demanding variant over the Taubenberg and then the Munich waterway back to the state capital.
